The Permit

An Alexandre Sarraf Investigation

A tank terminal in the Botlek, Rotterdam. One fatality, ruled accidental by the Dutch labour inspectorate.

The paperwork is immaculate. Every box ticked, every signature present and legible. Everything tested, verified, and signed by a shift supervisor who, according to the terminal's own turnstile records, had not entered the site in eleven weeks.

In fourteen years, nobody has ever hired Alexandre Sarraf to find out what happened. They hire him to find out what it costs.

The Permit is being written now. It has not been published yet, and there is no pre-order, because I would rather tell you when the book actually exists than sell you a date I might miss.

Leave your address and you will hear from me when it is finished, and not much in between.
